Star Trek: Enterprise – Season 2 Blu-ray review

Conventional Trekker wisdom says that Enterprise didn’t get good until Season 3, but as I looked over Season 2’s episodes I was a little bit surprised to see how many episodes I looked forward to revisiting. There are some very good episodes nestled throughout Season 2, though the less said about “Precious Cargo”, the better. As Scott Bakula says in the cast reunion feature on the set, about half-way through season 2 things changed for the better. I’m inclined to agree. TNG Season 5 Blu-ray trailer is up along with other Trek Blu-ray release previews

A welcome unannounced gift appeared on CBS Home Entertainment’s YouTube channel last week in the form of a Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 5 trailer for the remastered Blu-ray edition. After the break we’ve also got the trailer for the imminent releases of the TNG Season 4 set and the single-disc edition of the Season 4/5 cliffhanger Redemption along with full details on the July releases. Plus the Enterprise Season 2 trailer!


Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 on Blu-ray

The official announcement has been made of the second season of Enterprise in high definition on Blu-ray. The clear standout of the set looks to be “In Conversation: The First Crew” where the Roger Lay Jr. the producer of the Enterprise sets has managed to get the main cast together for a chat. Bakula & Sirits Joke About Getting Into Next Star Trek Movie

Also showing up at the Saturn Awards was Star Trek alums Scott Bakula from Enterprise and Marina Sirtis from Next Generation. Both were asked about the new JJ Abrams Star Trek films and (of course) both said they would love to be part of the new feature films. Sirits also took issue with one element of the 2009 movie. A couple of weekends ago, all five Star Trek TV captains appeared together at a convention, at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. Last month we reported that all five of Star Trek’s TV captains will gather for the first time ever at Destination Star Trek London in October. However, with the addition of Patrick Stewart to their line-up it turns out that Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con being held May 31 – June 3rd will get the honor of first collection of five Trek captains. Watch: LeVar Burton In ‘Perception’ – New TNT Summer Drama From Trek Vets Sussman & Biller

TNT has just announced their summer schedule which includes a new show called Perception from veteran Star Trek writer/producers Kenneth Biller and Mike Sussman. Starring Eric McCormack, Perception is a different kind of procedural  and it will feature Star Trek: The Next Generation’s LeVar Burton in a recurring role. Scott Bakula Cast In NBC Comedy Pilot

Star Trek: Enterprise’s Captain Archer could be headed back to TV. Scott Bakula has been tapped as a lead in a new NBC comedy pilot titled Table For Three. And in other pilot season news, Star Trek: Voyager producer (who hopes to bring Star Trek back to TV one day) is currently working on rebooting The Munsters and he has now cast Eddie Izzard as his new Grandpa.

Brannon Braga talks TNG, VOY, ENT, Star Trek Movies + more

From The Next Generation to Voyager to Enterprise — and Star Trek movies in between — Brannon Braga has had his hands in hundreds of hours of Star Trek. The writer/producer’s next project, however, is Fox’s prehistoric time travel series Terra Nova from producer Steven Spielberg. Braga took some time to reflect on his time with Star Trek in a new interview with StarTrek.com.

Brent Spiner Talks Typcasting, Death Of Data & Bringing Back Soong For Star Trek Sequel

On Monday Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Brent Spiner participated in a online live webchat promoting his webseries Fresh Hell. The chat ended up with a lot of talk about Star Trek and Data. Spiner talked about Trek typecasting, the death of Data, and even lobbied to "Bring Back Soong" for the 2012 Star Trek sequel. Details below, plus the full video.
